U.S. stock futures rose and put major indexes in the right direction to extend an upward trend and break a losing streak.
Futures on the S&P 500 increased by 0.3 percent on Friday,
while the futures of the Dow Jones Industrial Average ticked up 0.1 percent.
The Nasdaq-100, a tech-focused index, increased 0.4 percent.
On Thursday, the stock market climbed up, pushing upwards the Dow up to the fifth straight daily gain.
The three main indexes are set to enter Friday's session with strong gains over the course of the week
marking a sharp turnaround from a tiresome period of losses per week.
The last week it was the Dow declined for the eight consecutive week.
It was its longest streak since 1932 and it was the S&P 500 as well as the Nasdaq Composite notched seven weeks of losses.
